Normally I prefer a more savory breakfast but when I am in the mood for something sweet this is definitely the best treat 🙂
What you will need:
French Toast:
Loaf of Egg Bread or Challah (preferably a day or two old)
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Whole Milk
1/2 Tsp of Almond Extract
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
1/2 Tbsp of Butter
Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
1 Cup of Heavy Cream
1 Tbsp of Sugar
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
Tools:
Hand Mixer
First your going to hand beat your eggs in a large shallow dish, then mix in your milk, almond extract, and cinnamon, then set aside. Take your bread and cut it into thick slices, about an inch thick, then place slices into the egg mixture turning a couple of times to coat the bread all over, set dish aside and let the bread sit for a bit and marinade if you will. we will move onto our whipped cream for now.
Pour the heavy cream in a bowl with the sugar and cinnamon, then beat, starting slow then working up to high-for about 5 or so minutes until you get whipped cream. Be careful not to OVERMIX…then you will just get Cinnamon BUTTER! Now that that’s done let’s get back to our toast.

Heat a griddle pan or regular pan on med heat and melt the butter, swish it around a few times to coat the pan. Then one at a time add your toast from the mixture. Mine just happen to fit all on one pan. After about 2 or 3 minutes flip over to cook the other sides-the color should be a nice caramel brown.

When the toasts are done plate and garnish with whipped cream and maple syrup. Then dig in!

Enjoy!!!
