LA Bound!

Hi!!!

So I have been searching for a vacation for my husband and I since literally January 1st.  We finally settled on heading to California because 1) It’s in the US and warm and 2) my friend just moved out there.  My husband has taken the initiative and is planning all the details. We leave in 2 days!  This should be interesting… ;-P

Happy Valentines Day!

Here we are again, good old Valentines Day!!! I have been with my husband for almost 9 years now, almost 2 of them married, so we don’t really go all out on this day like we used too. I prefer though to still do little things like make a nice big breakfast complete with heart shaped bacon. It’s basically just bacon cut in half, formed to look like a heart, and baked according to the directions.  After all it is all about the LITTLE THINGS right.

Enjoy your day!

BLIZZARD OF 2016!!!!

HI!!

Sooooooooo we thought we were out of the woods this winter but turns out we are SO NOT. The blizzard of 2016 is occurring outside of our doors right now and we are told to stay inside for our own safety, total cabin fever style, which is amazing (sarcasm) because I had plans tonight to celebrate my friends birthday.  On the bright side we WERE pro-active and stocked up before the storm, and thankfully we also still have electricity, so this calls for some hearty beef stew.  Stay safe and make sure your Netflix accounts are ready!!! 🙂

BTW-WHY did this have to happen on a weekend day!

Happy New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

I cannot believe it is 2016.  This past year was a whirlwind.  Of course like everyone else I am trying to do my best with starting the new year off right, after binging on Holiday food and drinks it’s time to get back to a better general routine.  Being that January is basically the MONDAY month of the calendar year and it’s cold and dark doesn’t exactly help.  So I treated my husband, and myself, to some scallops tonight.  Hey fish is healthy right??? 🙂

Merry Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL!!!!

This is my all time favorite Holiday.  Presents, Food, and Family are where it’s at for me today!  We are splitting up the day and going to see my Husbands family first then heading up to mine so it’s a full day for sure.  However no Christmas Morning is complete without my Panettone French Toast nor is a Christmas Dinner table is complete without my Christmas Day Roast.  Also don’t forget about the eggnog cookies for dessert using the leftover eggnog you KNOW you have in your fridge.  Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a very Happy and Healthy New Year!  See you in 2016!!!
