Good old Memorial Day! The unofficial kick off to summer. I like to enjoy this day with family and friends, but to also take a minute to thank our vets and appreciate the untilamte sacrifice that they make so that we may be able to have the freedoms we have. Being the granddaughter of a WWll vet I can appreciate this even more. Even if you have no ties to a vet or service member one should still take a minute to reflect on what today really means. Thank you and god bless to all our troops out there!!
Thankfully it happens to be a beautiful day weather wise because we decided to have an impromptu BBQ at our house. My husband scolded me not to go too crazy over it…what meee go crazy over a paaaaarty?!?! So I am letting him take the reigns on this one. I couldn’t help however NOT contributing something so I went with my pasta salad which isn’t a huge fuss and is delicious 🙂
