Hello,
Well the unofficial end of summer has past and it leaves me feeling a bit depressed, as it always does, and with the same old questions, How did the it go so fast? and how early is considered too early to get a pumpkin spice latte? Fall does have it’s perks though including awesome weather, apple pie, awesome holidays, and most importantly my birthday, but I still can’t help mourn the loss of long beach days and those summer nights. It is good to note though that as fast as summer went it will be back just as fast so with that I am able to cope 🙂
This weekend was of course filled with family, friends, and BBQ’s and I was determined to step it up a bit and not make the same old default stuff I always make. I took some extra time going through the isles of the supermarket to come up with a couple of new appetizers and side dishes that ended up being a hit! It’s not everyday you hit a recipe out of the park the first time out so I am very excited to share these below. Hopefully they will be just as big of a hit at your next gathering. Keep in mind summer DOES go until the 21st so there are a couple of good BBQ weekends ahead of us on the east coast!!! So soak in as much as you can!!
